§1 The one-paragraph version

1.0.1 is a corrective release. It adds nothing. Records still declare ver_version: "1.0" and cpnp_version: "1.0", so consumers need no code changes at all — a 1.0.0 parser reads every 1.0.1 Record. Producers have three things to check and one behaviour to confirm: perceptual digest widths, raw-segment digests, and undeclared members inside the identity objects; then confirm your CPNP implementation matches the readings the annex selects. Five annex items — E3 (quantize), E6 (orientation source), E7 (first frame), E8 (unusable ICC), E9 (other colour metadata) — each pin down a place where 1.0.0 admitted two readings that produced different Canonical Buffers, so a producer on the non-selected side has pixel_hash values that were never interoperable and are now withdrawn; §3.4, §3.5 and §3.8 walk each one. Add E11 (what a preserved raw segment is) and that is the whole behavioural surface. If you are already emitting well-formed Records on the selected readings, the migration is one validator run that comes back clean.
