The VER Registrystable
What this registry does not do
- It does not ratify anything. §2.3 and §2.4 are draft text. This directory satisfies one blocking row of a checklist; the other blocking rows are still blocking.
- It does not open the three seeded value spaces, and no consumer should read an entry in
perceptual_alg,source_class, orsegment_familyas licence to emit a value the schema's enum does not carry. - It does not supply the perceptual test vectors E22 defers to it. Snapshot 1 carries E22's parameter text and no test vectors, so E22's deferral is recorded here rather than discharged, and a Consumer SHOULD still treat a perceptual digest from an unfamiliar Producer as a within-producer clustering signal only.
- It does not publish itself. The URL property is satisfied when this tree is actually served at that address; publishing is an act of the release checklist, not of this file. Until then a snapshot's identity — its number and its digest — is fixed here and does not depend on the URL resolving.
- It confers no certification.
GOVERNANCE.md§8 — there is no "VER-certified" status, and being in this list is not one.
