§13 Versioning and Extensibility

  • Records carry ver_version and cpnp_version. Any change to CPNP creates a new pixel_hash universe and is therefore a major version with a dual-publish migration window.
  • Spaces are immutable; evolution happens by publishing new spaces and dual-embedding during transitions (§6.2).
  • Reserved extension points: multi-frame/animation records, an HDR tone-mapping profile with a pinned operator, a vector-format rasterization profile with a pinned renderer, and audio/video sibling standards.
