Commits and pull requests

  • One logical change per commit; the standards tree and the pipeline in separate commits even when one motivated the other. A release directory is published in a commit of its own, containing nothing else (VERSIONING.md §3.3).
  • The message says why, and names the ledger ID, ADR, or finding it acts on (REV-13, E27, ADR-0007) — those identifiers are how the ledger and the history stay connected.
  • Both gates green, stated in the PR description with the actual counts.
  • Say what you did not do. A partial fix with its boundary stated is useful; a partial fix presented as complete is a defect with a note attached.
